Terms and Conditions

Users agree to these terms and conditions by using the website, subscribing to our services, employing our consultancy services, signing up for an account, or updates.
Users must agree to the terms in order to use Emmaus’ services.

Persons over the age of 18,
Individuals or businesses can sign up for an account or use our services.
Services include online interaction, globally, and in person within the UK and overseas as contracted and agreed prior to work commencing.

Users can sign up for an account as an individual or as a business with multiple users accessing their safeguarding and training portal. This service is a part of a subscription package, or custom consultancy package offered by Emmaus Global LTD.
Users can also sign up for regular email updates as individuals as well as part of their subscription.
Users are responsible for keeping their account information up to date and their login details secure.

Information is collected during the sign-up and /or purchasing process. This data is secured via the website security features and Stripe payment processing system.

All information and data will be held in adherence with the UK Data Protection Act 2018.

The content produced by Emmaus Global Ltd, such as policies, procedures, training, updates etc. remains the intellectual property (IP) of Emmaus Global Ltd.
Users can use this IP for purposes such as it was purchased for (e.g. training staff teams etc) within the remit of the terms it was acquired for, for example if it was purchased for a number of users then this should be adhered to and not shared wider or to other individuals or other companies etc Information can be shared for purposes of recommendations, to advice or to inform others, for example; sharing safeguarding insights for educational purposes. If using information for these purposes, the user should accredit the source as ‘Emmaus Global ltd’, with the author if details available and date of publication for version purposes.

Use of the content must be for the equipping, education and training of companies, business, or individuals personal development, as well as evaluating the organisational competencies in safeguarding.
Use of the training portal must remain within the remit of its intended purpose, to serve as a training platform and access point for policies and procedures, and source of up to date safeguarding information.
Any copyright infringement of content, any hate speech, illegal material, aggressive or intimidating comments or actions online or in communication with staff etc could result in the user’s account being terminated and access removed from Emmaus resources.
You must obtain written permission from the Emmaus before using any of our videos or training animated content or presentation content
acknowledge the Emmaus as the source of the video and content and include their logo and website address, not edit, alter or modify the video in any way, not use the video or content for commercial purposes or charge a fee for viewing it, not use the video or content in a way that is inconsistent with Emmaus values and objectives, not use the video or content in a way that is offensive, defamatory, discriminatory or illegal and
comply with any specific terms and conditions that apply to the video or content. You can request permission to use a video or content by emailing admin@emmausglobal.co.uk with details of the video or content you want to use, how you intend to use it, and who will be viewing it. Emmaus will then review your request and get back to you as soon as possible.

Subscribers to our services will be required to set up a direct debit payment prior to using our services. This will be set up via a Stripe payment account and will be protected through use of this system.
Users may cancel their subscription by giving 1 month notice. The account will be closed from the end of the notice period and access to policies and data will no longer be available.
Consultancy Users will be provided with a quote prior to the commencement of working together and details of payment plan will be agreed within the contract of work.

Users are expected to remain courteous and professional with their use of the online portal and other Emmaus Global services.
If Users are found to be misusing these services, aggressive or abusive in their interaction with others via the online portal, in comments on Emmaus training, blogs and/or any other content then their accounts may be suspended from use.

Complaints can be submitted to the company via the complaints procedure (see complaints policy), with details of the user’s grievance and individuals involved.
If the user is not satisfied by the result of following the complaints procedure they should report their concerns to Emmaus Managing Director.

Information is relevant at the time of publication, all policies will be reviewed and updated annually or whenever a relevant legal update is released, whichever is sooner.
Policies and procedures rely on the information submitted by the User and it is the User’s responsibility to ensure that this information is up to date and accurate.

Accounts may be suspended or terminated as a result of inappropriate use, as detailed above, for non-payment of subscription fees or agreed payment plans, or other such occurrences.
Users will be notified of any decision to suspend or terminate their accounts.
If an account is suspended or terminated and the user wishes to appeal this decision they may follow the complaint procedure as detailed in the complaints policy.

If any part of this agreement is found to be negated or unenforceable, the rest of these terms and conditions remain in place.

Emmaus Global Ltd is a registered legal entity in the UK and is therefore operating under the UK law in terms of its governance.
