Jim brings more than 20 years of experience in public safety and safeguarding to his role as CEO of Emmaus Global. His background in policing, where he served as a senior commander, gave him invaluable experience managing complex operations and keeping people safe.

During his police service, Jim led security operations for major events including the Olympics, NATO Summit, and UEFA Champions League Final. His work as a strategic firearms commander and critical incident leader taught him the importance of careful planning and clear communication—skills he now uses to guide Emmaus Global’s work worldwide.

Leading organisations trust Jim’s practical approach to safeguarding. He advises UNICEF, the Premier League, and international charities on protecting vulnerable people and ensuring proper governance. His work ranges from helping sports academies develop safety programmes to reviewing safeguarding measures for global events. He has expertise in emerging areas such as esports safety.

Jim holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Management from Warwick Business School, a Higher Certificate in Education in Child Protection, and professional qualifications in safeguarding and strategic command. This combination of practical experience and formal training allows him to tackle complex safeguarding challenges with a thorough, measured approach.

Naomi is the Business Director for the Emmaus Group of companies, where she oversees legal, human resources, corporate governance, and information technology.

Her career began as a Social Worker in local authority child protection and families’ teams, where she developed a solid foundation in safeguarding vulnerable communities. Working directly with at-risk children and families, she conducted detailed risk assessments, managed complex caseloads, and coordinated multi-agency responses to safeguarding concerns. She gained extensive experience in child protection procedures, leading strategy meetings, and implementing early intervention strategies to support families in crisis. Her frontline work involved close collaboration with schools, healthcare providers, law enforcement, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive safeguarding measures were in place.

Naomi later expanded her experience internationally, working with Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in East and South Africa, where she built and led teams, supported community initiatives, and championed philanthropic projects across diverse cultures. Her passion lies in fostering safe, supportive environments for all individuals.

Throughout her career, Naomi has demonstrated a commitment to social impact and advocacy. In her roles with the Church in Cape Town and Kampala, she provided counselling, and social support, and led community outreach programmes, including launching a global financial support initiative during the COVID-19 crisis.

As a qualified Independent Sexual Violence Advocate (ISVA), she brings specialised skills in addressing and supporting victims of abuse. Her extensive experience in both social care and international NGO work underscores her dedication to creating inclusive, safe spaces that promote well-being and resilience in all communities.
